Interview with David Curto, professor at LABA Valencia
Meet David Curto, Faculty member:
“I studied at the prestigious Escac school in Barcelona and I have been trained by great masters of photography and light such as Xavi Jiménez, Kiko de la Rica, Arnau Valls Colomer, Pablo Díez or Tomás Pladevall, among many others.
In 2010 I moved to Colombia where I lived for 7 years and I worked for different production companies and brands from Colombia, Spain and the US. My work in video clips allowed me to shoot with artists like David Bisbal, Juan Magan, Ana Guerra, J Balvin, Sebastian Yatra, Lalo Ebratt, Greeicy, Mike Towers, Yera and Aitana, among others.
For cinema, I have shot films like El Vecino by Nacho Vigalondo, The Boy by Craig Macnaill, Fucking Games and Anthopos by Spiros Stathoulopoulos, Bad Lucky Goat by Samir Oliveros.
I was a Canon ambassador between 2012 – 2014 and some of my work as director of photography has been recognized in Variety, IndieWire and The Hollywood reporter.”
