ANA SANTOS AND NOEL PALAZZO
Punto y Raya Festival
The BLABLANIGHTS Cylcles presented the masterclass of Ana Santos and Noel Palazzo, directors of the PUNTO Y RAYA Festival, on October 19, 2022. The festival is an international platform dedicated to the production, promotion, and education of audiovisual arts in their purest form: Shape, Color, Movement, and Sound. No representation!
Their mission is to recover the spirit of Cinèma Pure and Absolute Cinema formulated by the European avant-gardes in the 1920s, and reinterpret it in diverse contexts through actions that promote its sustainability, solidifying this unique art form that lies at the intersection of Fine Arts and Media.
The BLABLANIGHTS session marked the beginning of the Second International Symposium of Abstract Art in Motion organized by PUNTO Y RAYA ACADEMY 2022, which took place from October 19 to 22 at various venues in Valencia: LABA Valencia. School of Art, Design & New Media, CCCC Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània, CSMV Conservatori Superior de Música, and Belles Arts UPV.

The first editions of PUNTO Y RAYA were held in Spain, in venues such as the Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofía and La Casa Encendida in Madrid, or Arts Santa Mònica and CCCB Centre de Cultura Contemporània in Barcelona.
Since 2014, consolidating European co-production synergies, the event has been hosted in a different country each year; to date, Iceland (HARPA, Reykjavík), Germany (ZKM Zentrum für Kunst und Medien, Karlsruhe), Poland (CeTA Centrum Technologii Audiowizualnych, Wrocław), and Austria (Österreichisches FilmMuseum / Künstlerhaus / Blickle Kino im Belvedere 21, Vienna).
With seven ‘senior’ editions of the Festival, the most extensive Online Catalogue and Resource Center in the genre, the most diverse creative community, and a promotional platform covering about 50 cities, PUNTO Y RAYA has become the global benchmark for Abstract Art in Motion.
