LABA Valencia.
School of Art, Design & New Media
is the first international campus of the prestigious Italian university of Art and Design LABA – Libera Accademia di Belle Arti, with 24 years of history and 2,500 students enrolled each year.
It opened its doors in Spain in the academic year 2021/2022, with the BA (Hons) in Graphic Design & Digital Media and in Photography & Video, two of the areas with the greatest employment prospects in the field of creative industries, together with the International Master in Multimedia Creation for Live Shows. The 2nd edition culminated this June, with the edition of MICME. Interactive Art Festival, open to the public. The Master’s students occupied LABA Valencia with installations and events around interactive art: light art, video mapping, interactivity and sound art.
In January 2024 we started the MA of Arts in Photography, which allows students to work in collaboration with publishers and agencies of global prestige: OCIMAG and SCHÖN! Magazine and the international agency Magnum Photos.
LABA Valencia is a living space, open to the city and to new trends, where you can develop your creativity and talent. With a clear international vocation – 70% of the student body is international – and a strong market orientation, it is committed to sectors where art and technology converge, the professional future together with personal expression. Classes with first class teachers and constant stimuli await you. LABA Valencia hosts numerous exhibitions and events and collaborates with national and international festivals and projects: the recent exhibition Miradas y recorridos íntimos which could be visited until 28 June at Las Naves, as part of the 10 Sentidos Festival, with a selection of works by students from all degrees and MA’s, Designers of the Univers, Augmented Worlds, Photo LABA Firenze, SMTH ART 2003 and 2024, or the BlablaNights cycle on design, technology and new media which is now in its 17th edition. Laba Valencia collaborates with professionals, artists, museums and galleries such as the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens, the Museum of the Image in Portugal, the National Museum of History in Slovenia, the Labyrint Gallery in Poland and many others.

BACHELOR OF ARTS (HONS) Digital Media
The connection between new media and the current labour market offers a context rich in opportunities and development. Key topics are: web and app design, direction and production, tv programs produced with digital technology, industrial and scientific simulations, 3D animation for films and branding, tourism promotion, enhancement of heritage and cultural assets, multimedia creation for events and live shows, etc.
In the next years, the demand for digital multimedia creators is expected to increase at a rate of 26%, one of the highest across all professions.

MA of Arts in Photography
Postgraduate Diploma of Higher Education in Photography validated by Coventry University.
The MA aims to explore contemporary practices and the creative possibilities of photography, with a particular focus on fashion and editorial.The MA will allow students to work in collaboration with world-renowned publishers and agencies: OCIMAG and SCHÖN! Magazine and the internationally agency Magnum Photos, through which students will learn about trends in fashion, culture, editorial, reportage, art…
The MA is aimed at students who wish to deepen their knowledge and practice of photographic production and visual culture, and who wish to enter the field of lifestyle editorial in fashion and trends, the creation of visual content for brands, art direction, and visual strategy.
MICME. International Master in Multimedia Creation for Live Shows
Throughout the master’s degree, students receive the necessary knowledge related to multimedia creation for live shows, installations and immersive proposals, with a solid training in the most important professional software: Madmapper for videomapping and video-scene, Touchdesigner language for light art, interaction and visual and sound creation, Ableton for sound editing and live composition, among others.
A series of core subjects converge in the final practice: the MICME. Interactive Art Festival, whose 1st edition was held in LABA VALENCIA on 15 and 16 June 2024, with installations and events around interactive art: light art, video mapping, interactivity and sound art.
