The BLABLANIGHTS Cycle continued on Thursday, May 20, 2021, with the masterclass of Eugenio Recuenco, one of the top photographers and directors in our country and one of the most creative in fashion and advertising worldwide. Winner of the 2018 Best Advertising of the Year Award in Spain, the ABC National Photography Award, and awarded with the Golden Lion in Cannes, his photographs are exhibited in numerous galleries and museums in various cities and countries.
Here we can see the session, which was streamed live.

EUGENIO RECUENCO was born in Madrid in May 1968, amidst the student protests that were spreading from Paris.
He studied Fine Arts, specializing in painting. He soon began collaborating with fashion magazines, first in Spain and then in Paris. Some of the magazines he worked with include Vogue España, Madame Figaro, Wad, Vogue UK, Spoon, Planet, Vanity Fair, Stern, Numero, Kult, GO, and Zink.
In Paris, he started his first advertising works for brands such as Boucheron, Nina Ricci, Diesel, Shanghai Tang, Yves Saint Laurent, Sony, Playstation, Custo, Le Bon Marché, BSI Lugano, Pernod Ricard, Canal +, Barceló Hotels, Puy De Fou, Dry Martini, and Naf Naf.
In 2007, 2012, and again in 2021, he was invited to create the Lavazza calendar, and he was called from the US to stage the opera “Les Huguenots” at The Fisher Center in New York.
In Paris, he made his first commercial for Nina, and the path continued with other brands: Loewe, Freixenet, Mango, Codorniú, Chivas Regal, Regione Campania, Vanderbilt, Motorola, Huawei, Bvlgary, Jean Paul Gaultier, El Corte Inglés, Nextel, and Palacio Del Hierro.
His photographs have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums in various cities.

Winner of the ABC National Photography Award in 2004 and awarded the Golden Lion in Cannes in 2013 for Best Photography for “The Little Prince,” he published his first solo book, REVUE, in the same year.
In 2016, he completed the short film MANUSCRIT TROUVÉ DANS L´OUBLI, directed by him and based on the book Los Girasoles Ciegos by Alberto Méndez, which received numerous awards at film festivals.
Recuenco dedicated 8 years to a personal photography project, 365º, consisting of 369 photographs, one for each day of the year. With 369 images, 8 years of work, 120 models, a team of 300 people, and his unique vision, this project explores the last 50 years of our time, reflecting our virtues and imperfections, and offering a walk through the artist’s memories. All of it was created within the same space and materialized in the book 365º. This ambitious project was first exhibited as an installation at the CEART in Fuenlabrada, Madrid, in 2018, and has traveled to cities such as Vitoria, Berlin, Shanghai, Paris, and Taipei. It will be showcased in Bangkok in the coming months.
His next photography project, Las Mil y Una Noches, is set to be the largest to date.
Currently, he lives behind a camera.
