LABA Valencia students visit contemporary art galleries in Valencia

The second year students of the Digital Media degree at LABA Valencia had the opportunity to live a unique experience by visiting some of the most prestigious galleries in Valencia.

Accompanied by their teachers, Berta Ferrer and Ismaël Chappaz, they visited spaces such as Luis Adelantado, Set Espai D’Art, Jorge López y La Mercería, where they were received with great generosity by the gallery managers. These experts shared with the students their knowledge about the management of exhibitions, their artistic selection process, and the importance of galleries in the dissemination of contemporary art.

The visit gave the students an insight into Valencia’s vibrant art scene and a unique opportunity to understand the intricacies of the relationship between graphic designers and contemporary art.

Students were able to experience first-hand how design and art intertwine, and how galleries are crucial spaces for the professional development of any creative.

This practical immersion is an ideal complement to their academic training, giving them essential tools for their future as design professionals.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the galleries that opened their doors and offered us their time and expertise.

These kinds of initiatives make learning so much more enriching!
