World Design Capital Valencia 2022
On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, we kicked off the 2022 BLABLANIGHTS cycle by celebrating Valencia’s designation as World Design Capital, a milestone for the city that has revolutionized it and is flooding the streets with design, events, exhibitions, congresses, designers, and creatives from all over the planet.

How was the process to win the World Design Capital 2022 bid? How did you prepare for it? What recommendations would you give for tackling challenges of this magnitude? What does the year ahead look like for you?
Marisa Gallén, National Design Award 2019, and Miguel Arraiz, Project Director of World Design Capital Valencia 2022, along with other members of the WDCV2022 team such as Amparo Balbastre and María Lapiedra, shared with us the unforgettable journey of winning this prestigious award, the challenges, the emotions, and the benefits it will bring to Valencia and to Spain.
