As part of the #BLABLANIGHTS cycle, we present a new session focused on audiovisual experimentation and immersive experiences with a masterclass by Dan Molnar @function.str, a Berlin-based artist working with sound, light, and real-time technology to create high-impact sensory installations and live performances.
Originally from Hungary and trained in electrical engineering, Dan combines strong technical expertise with a deep sensitivity to music and movement. His practice began by creating visuals for his own music and has evolved into generative art, interactive systems, and large-scale audiovisual environments, developing projects in both intimate spaces and major venues, as well as complex multimedia installations.
DEREAL Studio
Dan Molnar is the co-founder of DEREAL Studio, a Berlin-based collective exploring immersive experiences in physical space through multi-display technology, interactive sensors, physical objects, and lasers. Their work bridges digital systems with real environments, creating a dialogue between the virtual and the tangible.
Dan actively contributes to the creative-tech community through educational content, workshops, and the development of custom tools for artists and studios, fostering a culture of exchange and technological experimentation.
