On 13, 14 and 15 June 2025, we held the the 2nd edition of MICME. Interactive Art Festival, open to the public, at LABA Valencia with installations and events focusing on interactive art: light art, video mapping, interactivity and sound art, created by students on the International Master’s Degree in Multimedia Creation for Live Shows.

The opening of the MICME Festival was celebrated in the immersive space at the headquarters of BOMBAS GENS. CENTRO DE ARTES DIGITALES, which joined the festival this year.

The festival highlights the role of multimedia and technologies as the core of the artistic experience, where poetics, innovation and experimentation converge. Over three and a half months, after a year of intense learning in technologies, design, spaces, criteria and aesthetics, the master’s students have been immersed in the realisation of their Final Major Projects, consisting of the preparation and realisation of one or more installation proposals, encompassing elements such as light art, video mapping, sensors, interactivity and sound art, image and/or performance, to be shown to the public during the MICME – INTERACTIVE ART FESTIVAL in June 2025.

Cristina Casanova, director of the Master’s programme and curator of the MICME festival, Manuel Conde, assistant director of the Master’s programme and technological coordinator of the festival, together with the rest of the teaching staff, Pablo Alpe, Ilgın İçözü and Siddharth Gautam, have guided and tutored these proposals over the months.
