“Somos” is a split-screen short film that tells the parallel story of two young people. The technical choice to use split screen was not merely a stylistic device, it reflected the deeper theme of the film: coincidence and destiny.

From a directing perspective, “Somos” was a major challenge. Every step, every line, and every movement had to be rehearsed and timed with precision. The final take was achieved after a month of preparation, countless rehearsals, and two intense nights of shooting. Beyond its technical complexity, Somos is also a deeply personal project: a metaphor for what it means to direct, create, and overcome doubts and obstacles in order to achieve something real.

Despite setbacks, including a nationwide blackout in Spain, last-minute crew changes, and technical issues, the team stayed united, committed, and passionate. The final result reflects a well-coordinated production.
