Testimonial from Sandra García, Graduate of LABA Valencia
“I found a new home at LABA Valencia.
When I first arrived, I was very nervous, but thanks to the support of my classmates, I felt welcomed and at home from the very beginning.
Thanks to the guidance and dedication of the professors, I was able to grow with confidence and explore new interests. It was here that my passion for art direction was born: I had the opportunity to work as an art director on several short films, an experience that opened up an entirely new path for me.”

Throughout her studies in the BAH in Photography and Video from LABA Valencia, Sandra has undergone a continuous evolution characterized by the exploration of new languages and forms of expression. This process is reflected in her increased technical mastery and a more defined creative practice, with each of her works demonstrating the impact of this period on the consolidation of her artistic profile.
“I see an evolution in myself, with a strong desire to explore new things. I have grown significantly as both a person and an artist, and I feel that I have gained much more knowledge. I also feel much more confident on a technical level.
One thing I know for sure is that LABA will always be with me and will always be a part of me.”

Photobook "Fragments," final degree project by Sandra García
“Through developing my final project, I learned that photography can be a powerful tool to explore who we are and how we are shaped by our own experiences.
“Fragments”,
It is a photobook based on fragments of different people, through which I discovered the value of listening, observing, and translating these stories into images.
This work serves as a small window into my own journey and everything I have built along the way.”

In her Final Major Project, Sandra created an intimate visual narrative that explores themes such as self-discovery, gender, identity, and sexuality.
Throughout this process, she conducted interviews that supported her honest and sensitive exploration, where each image functions as part of a broader journey. This project becomes a synthesis of her evolution, showcasing both her artistic development and her unique perspective on the world.
