ACDC is a small-scale partnership in school education aimed at co-creating and validating innovative learning and teaching material for inclusive climate change education.

ACDC is an Erasmus+ project in school education aimed at co-creating and validating learning and teaching material for inclusive climate change education. It’s about how to use art and design to create awareness about climate change, how to stimulate young people’s imagination and make them actors of change.

The 2-year project was coordinated by LABA Valencia (Spain) and in collaboration with Casa da Imagem and Agrupamento de Escolas de Cristelo (Portugal). The project is based on a co-creative approach, a collaboration between (secondary and higher education) students, teachers, designers, artists, cultural organizations and industry.

All the results are now available on the website, in the results section and in the workshops section: an educators’ guide, workshop proposals for schools, examples of students’ work.

What’s so special about the ACDC course?

  • It’s a free course created by artists, designers, teachers and students.
  • It’s easily accessible and adaptable for different levels of students.
  • It combines climate change, the power of art and design as a communication tool, and the use of new technologies.
  • It is a constructive approach to climate change education, stimulating young people’s imagination and empower them to create art and raise awareness.
  • Everybody really liked it!

We’d would like to thank all the teachers and students of the collaborating schools: Ausias March de Picassent – British College La Cañada – Colegio Marni – Comenius Centre Educatiu – Escuelas San José Jesuitas – Escola Básica e Secundária de Cristelo – Kesan Anadolu Lisesi – Mediacollege Amsterdam – Özel Didim Akademi Kültür Anadolu Lisesi. This project wouldn’t have been possible without them.
