AUTONOMIC SESSION MEP VALENCIA AND MURCIA
On 5 March 2022 we held the inaugural session of the Vth AUTONOMIC SESSION of the Valencian Community and Murcia Region
The European Parliament Model is an educational programme whose aim is to foster in young people the awareness of European citizenship and the culture of constructive parliamentary debate, where students have the opportunity to research on different current European issues, give their opinion, present proposals, and become parliamentarians for a few days, at national and European level.
The 12 delegations were the speakers of this opening session with their speeches, guided by the Presidency Mr. Ramón Rodríguez Magán, President of the Sorolla Educational Group and Coordinator of the Autonomous Session of the MEP of C. Valenciana and R. of Murcia, the Board MEP Spain and all the teaching staff.
The topics offered for this year are:
- Human Rights Commission: The challenge of migratory flows.
- Employment and Social Affairs Commission: The 32-hour working week: challenges and benefits.
- Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee: Disinformation as an Attack on Democracy
- Committee on Development: The new European Bauhaus and common spaces
Silvia Flórez, Engagement Manager at #WDCValencia2022, explained to the attendees the importance of the World Design Capital Valencia 2022 together with the development of the New European Bauhaus.
