In June 2021, after a few years of intense work, we finally had the school ready to be filled with students in September. One of the treasures that accompanied us throughout the last year were the motivational letters sent to us by the applicants to study at LABA Valencia. Day by day we lived the countdown to the arrival of the classes, with great joy, inquiries and excitement.
Last Tuesday, June 14, 2022 we celebrated the Open Day, with the opening of the exhibition of the first academic year of our students. The quality of the design pieces, photographs, shortfilms, motion graphics and 3D creations, guarantee the impeccable work done by teachers and students throughout all these months.
We want to thank you for the enthusiasm with which you have committed yourselves, your dedication to the project, your constant effort. We have done a great job together, we have grown and evolved acquiring, since this first year, an important part of the quality that we had as a goal for the headquarters of LABA Valencia. Walking through the exhibition you can already see how you imbue the professional work – the famous briefs – with your personal stamp, which have accompanied you throughout the year.
A sector in which all subjects are important, all can become your main line of professionalization. At the same time, all complement and enrich each other: from IU that has burst by surprise and with passion in the life of some of you, motion graphics whose technical learning curve and visual culture requires patience and perseverance, 360 communication campaigns, audiovisual narrative, lighting, research processes, hours on the set… And all this would not have been possible without the dedication of the teachers in these small classes in which we have become a family, one of our first wishes, just as we had lived for so many years in Italy.
Congratulations and thank you for all that we have walked together this first year. Thank you Maria Tinoco, Elena Ballesteros and Carmina Saiz for being the pillars. Thanks to all the teachers who are already LABA. Thanks to all the students, for your effort, for your tenacity, for your ideas, for your sadness and your great joy.
We are waiting for you to enjoy this great exhibition of the first Academic Year.
