LABA Valencia students visit art and design centres

This academic term has been very rewarding both in and out of the classroom at LABA Valencia. We have had many experiences for the Digital Media students.

Accompanied by teachers Berta Ferrer and Ismaël Chappaz, the first year students explored two of Valencia’s most outstanding museums: the IVAM and the CCCC. At IVAM, they immersed themselves in the exhibitions of Alberto Feijoo and Otobong Nkanga, and enjoyed the largest exhibition to date, “Popular”, which attempts to define the meaning of modern art from the perspective of the working classes. While at the CCCC they explored the vibrant universe of illustrator Miguel Calatayud.

The second year students visited Gusta Studio, where they had the opportunity to have Mar Albiol and Kevin van der Wijst, the founders, generously share their evolution in the field of digital design. From their studio in Valencia, they collaborate with clients internationally. This enriching experience allowed the students to observe the design process up close and learn about their approach to digital projects such as websites, apps, interfaces and systems.

We thank Gusta Studio for opening the doors of your home and sharing valuable knowledge with our students!

Many thanks to teachers Berta Ferrer and Ismaël Chappaz for providing the students with such enriching outings.
