«Professional Development» Diego Cayuelas at LABA Valencia
On 8 November, designer Diego Cayuelas kicked off the cycle of masterclasses held as part of the «Professional Development» module with professor Silvia Flórez. This is a fundamental space in the training of first year students of the degree in Digital Media.
During this visit, Cayuelas shared his experiences and his vision of the increasingly broad and diverse role of graphic design, from digital transformation to the interconnectedness of the creative industries. The students were able to learn first-hand how digitalisation has revolutionised design, creating new profiles and fields of work. The conversation also opened up space to reflect on the opportunities and challenges that future designers will face in an ever-changing sector.
Guided by their teacher, Silvia Flórez, the students had the opportunity to discover the work of Diego Cayuelas, a designer specialising in branding who works in diverse areas such as product, editorial and fashion design.
This cycle of talks allows students to get closer to the knowledge and experiences of leading experts in the creative sector. This first meeting was a valuable experience for the students, who not only learned about Diego Cayuelas’ career, but were also able to discuss the future of graphic design in an industry that is constantly evolving.
Throughout his career, Diego Cayuelas has collaborated with important agencies and brands, such as Kids, Lladró and 404 Studio, and is currently part of the prestigious graphic team at Lavernia & Cienfuegos.
